Manoj Pillay SANDRASEGARA is the Joint Head of the Restructuring & Insolvency Practice and a Partner in the Banking & Financial Disputes Practice and the Indonesia Practice. He has extensive experience in complex cross-border debt restructurings acting for borrowers, court-appointed administrators and special situation investors.

Manoj has advised on a number of high-profile cross-border debt restructurings. Most recent ones include acting for: Jurong Aromatics Limited's US$1.5 billion debt restructuring; Emas Chiyoda Subsea in its US$900 million debt restructuring through a Chapter 11 process; Bilcare Singapore Pte. Ltd.'s US$123 million debt restructuring; the court appointed judicial managers of Altus Shipping & Logistics Pte. Ltd.; Tiger Airways' S$347 million acquisition of distressed PT Mandala Airlines; the receivership of Airtrust (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. involving allegations of breaches of directors' duties, transnational fraud, money laundering and tax evasion; the multi-jurisdictional insolvency proceedings commenced against Titan Oil Pte. Ltd.; the scheme of arrangement between Glory Wealth Shipping Pte. Ltd. and its creditors to restructure US$946 million of debt; the Singapore aspects of the US$1.6 billion collapse of MF Global; Asia Pulp and Paper’s US$16 billion debt restructuring; and Korea Line Corporation's US$600 million restructuring.

Manoj is both the Vice Chairman of the Insolvency Practitioner’s Association of Singapore and the Law Society of Singapore's insolvency practice committee. He was recently appointed by the Ministry of Law to the Committee to establish Singapore as a debt restructuring centre in Asia.
