Jason CHUA is a Partner in the Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions Practice.

His areas of practice involve mergers and acquisitions, covering both public and private transactions, private equity and restructuring and insolvency transactions.

Jason graduated from the National University of Singapore and is admitted to the Singapore Bar.

Significant transactions that Jason has been involved in include advising / acting for the following:

  • KKR Asia Limited in connection with the investment by KKR Jade Investments Pte. Ltd., an affiliate of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P., for an approximately 10.44% shareholding interest in PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk.
  • Vard Holdings Limited ("Vard") in the voluntary delisting of Vard from the Main Board of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited following from the delisting proposal presented by Fincantieri Oil & Gas S.p.A., the majority shareholder of Vard.
  • Ad-Hoc group of existing senior creditors in the restructuring of Noble Group Limited.
  • Significant aspects of the sale and purchase of the assets of, and restructuring of, Jurong Aromatics Corporation.  
  • Hyflux Ltd., in a group restructuring exercise involving at least S$3 billion of debt.
  • Broadcom Corporation in its acquisition by Avago Technologies Limited for US$37 billion. This deal was awarded "Deal of the Year" and "M&A Deal of the Year (Premium)" at the ALB SE Asia Law Awards, 2016.
