Joyce ANG is a Partner in the Corporate Real Estate Practice.

Her main practice encompass property and property-related transactions including acquisition and disposal of commercial, industrial and residential property, property financing, landlord and tenant matters. Joyce has acted for major housing developers in their purchase of residential sites and subsequent sale of units.

Joyce graduated from the National University of Singapore and is admitted to the Singapore Bar.

Significant transactions that Joyce has been involved in include advising / acting for the following:

  • CapitaLand Ltd. in its acquisition of the Ascendas-Singbridge group of companies controlled by Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited. The deal is valued at $11 billion and makes CapitaLand Ltd. the largest diversified real estate group in Asia, with more than S$116 billion in assets under management.
  • Tata Communications, as Singapore counsel, in the sale of a 74% stake in Tata Communications' data centre business in India and Singapore, comprising 14 data centres in India and 3 facilities in Singapore, worth approximately US$640 million to ST Telemedia.
  • Nestlé S.A. ("Nestlé") in Nestlé's acquisition of Pfizer Inc.'s infant nutrition unit for approximately US$11.85 billion which includes the acquisition of the direct and indirect shareholding interests in Wyeth Nutritionals (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. and Wyeth (Singapore) Pte. Limited respectively, both incorporated in Singapore, in particular on property-related issues such as the long-term leases granted by JTC Corporation, Singapore's national developer of industrial property and on regulatory requirements.
  • In the sale of units for the housing developers of V on Shenton, DUO Residences, Marina One Residences, The Tre Ver, Botanique at Bartley and The Line at Tanjong Rhu.
  • CapitaLand Mall Trust Management Limited (in its capacity as the manager of CapitaLand Mall Trust) in relation to the sale of Sembawang Shopping Centre.
  • Multinational corporations in their lease as tenants of high grade office space at Marina Bay Financial Tower, Asia Square including Singapore Exchange ("SGX") in the lease of premises at The Metropolis, Singapore, a twin tower office development awarded with the BCA Green Mark Platinum by the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore, in relation to the relocation of the Central Depository operations of SGX.
