KHOO Yuh Huey is a Partner in the Private Wealth, Financial Services Regulatory and Capital Markets practices.

In her Private Wealth practice, Yuh Huey advises high-net-worth individuals and families, trust companies, and private banks on the establishment of trusts, wealth and succession planning, corporate structuring, family governance, setting up of family offices (including licensing issues) and other private client issues. She also advises private banks on private wealth products such as insurance premium financing.

On the Financial Services Regulatory front, Yuh Huey advises banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions on their licensing, regulatory and compliance obligations.

Yuh Huey also has significant Capital Markets experience advising banks, government bodies and corporates on securities offerings and restructuring transactions.

Yuh Huey graduated from the National University of Singapore and is admitted to the Singapore Bar.

  • Local and international billionaires, owners of listed companies, high profile families and major trust companies and private banks on the establishment of trusts, wealth and succession planning, corporate structuring, family governance, setting up of family offices (including licensing issues) and other private client issues.
  • Various international and local banks on the sale and transfer of their banking business, the restructuring of their banking and other licensed operations; assisting banks and other financial institutions on the review and amendment of their documentation for various products; assisting with licence applications for various financial institutions and various financial institutions on a wide range of regulatory matters.
  • Various insurance companies on a wide range of insurance regulatory matters; regulatory issues surrounding investment or acquisition of insurance companies and/or insurance portfolios.
  • City Development Limited in Singapore's first Islamic capital markets transaction involving a corporate issuer of a S$1 billion Islamic Trust Certificate (Sukuk) Programme and several issuances of Trust Certificates under the programme. The deal was awarded "Debt Market Deal of the Year" as part of the ALB SE Asia Deals of the Year Awards 2009.
  • The establishment of a number of domestic and Euro MTN programmes, including those of Changi Airport Group (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., Keppel Corporation Limited, Olam International Limited, SATS Ltd., and StarHub Ltd, and issuances thereunder, and the issue of convertible bonds by various companies including CapitaLand Limited, CapitaCommercial Trust and Olam International Limited.
  • Various restructuring exercises including tender offers and exchange offers carried out by various companies, including Olam International Limited and GLOBALFOUNDRIES Singapore Pte. Ltd.'s (formerly Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Ltd.).
