Alma YONG is a Partner in the Commercial & Corporate Disputes Practice. Her main areas of practice involve litigation across a wide range of matters including commercial and corporate disputes, fraud, oil and gas and cross-border trade and investment disputes.

She has advised and acted in joint venture disputes, shareholder disputes, derivative actions and claims against former company directors, including matters involving prominent individuals and listed companies. She also advises clients on a broad range of legal issues, including matters relating to construction, tenancy, employment and corporate governance and compliance.

Alma graduated from the National University of Singapore and is admitted to the Singapore Bar.

Matters of significance in which Alma has been involved in include the following:

  • Acting for a Singapore-listed oil and gas company in a multi-million dollar joint venture dispute.
  • Acting for a former director and the former Chief Financial Officer of a multinational corporation in a conspiracy, breach of trust and breach of fiduciary/director’s duties claim.
  • Acting for the majority owners of the development known as Gillman Heights in landmark appeals to the High Court and Court of Appeal concerning the collective sale of the development.
