INSOL International – Restructuring in Indonesia in Practice

14 Jul 2022 Publication

Our Indonesia, Restructuring & Insolvency and Special Situations Advisory Partner Lawrence Foo along with Practice Trainee Elysia Lim recently collaborated with Makes & Partners, our WPG member firm, to author INSOL International’s June 2022 technical paper on restructuring in Indonesia. Titled “Restructuring in Indonesia in Practice”, the paper presents the insights of 25 prominent and highly experienced practitioners in Indonesia and dives into the process, benefits and limitations of the Indonesian restructuring regime from the perspective of debtors and local and foreign creditors.

The new technical paper published by INSOL International provides recommendations for future law reform that may enable Indonesia to keep pace with the reforms taking place in neighbouring jurisdictions such as Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong and serves as a useful resource for practitioners and policy makers across the world.

The International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals is a world-wide federation of national associations of accountants and lawyers who specialise in turnaround and insolvency.
