On 22 May 2026, the Ministry of National Development, the Building and Construction Authority and the Urban Redevelopment Authority issued a circular to professional institutes announcing two new frameworks to enhance protection of home buyers’ interests through strengthening deterrence of errant developer behaviour: (a) the Land Sales Disqualification Framework; and (b) the Sales Suspension Framework, (collectively, Frameworks).
Both Frameworks were implemented with effect from 22 May 2026.
This update outlines the key features of the Frameworks.
