On 2 June 2026, the Personal Data Protection Commission launched a consultation seeking views and comments on its Proposed Advisory Guidelines on use of Personal Data in Generative AI (Proposed Guidelines), which seek to address some of the key data protection issues relating to GenAI today and clarify how personal data can be used in GenAI models and/or GenAI systems.
