15 Jun 2022 Publication

Our Restructuring & Insolvency and Special Situations Advisory Partner Stephanie Yeo recently wrote an article for the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) Practitioner published under the “Insolvency and Restructuring” subject area of practice. Titled “Class Composition in Schemes of Arrangement”, the article discusses practical issues that in recent years have arisen frequently in relation to the composition of creditor classes with reference to the recent decisions by the Singapore court, namely, the restructuring of Pacific International Lines and Re DSG Asia Holdings Pte Ltd in 2021 and Re Brightoil Petroleum (S’pore) Pte Ltd in 2022, and further proposes a framework to better determine classification issues.
