On 15 March 2026, the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan signed an “Energy, Sustainability and Climate Change Cooperation Framework” (Framework) to deepen bilateral collaboration on energy transition, decarbonisation, sustainability and climate change.
This update outlines the key features of the Framework and highlights examples of ongoing Singapore–Japan commercial cooperation in the energy sector.
