WongPartnership Acted as Issuer Counsel to Concord New Energy Group Limited in Its Secondary Listing on the SGX-ST
15 Jan 2026WongPartnership acted as issuer counsel to Concord New Energy Group Limited ("CNE") in its successful secondary listing by way of introduction on the Mainboard of the SGX-ST. The matter was led by our Head of China Practice, Chong Hong Chiang, and supported by Senior Associate, Charlotte Chew, Associate, Huang Xianxi and Practice Trainee, Leonard Zhang.
CNE commenced trading on the SGX-ST on 6 January 2026, with its share price rising 8% shortly after its debut on the Singapore Exchange. Listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since 2007, CNE is a leading renewable energy company focused on the development and provision of green power globally, including wind energy, solar energy and energy storage solutions. This secondary listing marks an important milestone in CNE’s international growth strategy, with Singapore serving as a strategic hub to support the Group’s regional expansion and to enhance its access to global capital markets.
As issuer counsel, we advised CNE on all Singapore law aspects of its secondary listing, including the assessment of listing eligibility, advice on applicable regulatory and disclosure requirements under the SGX-ST framework, the preparation of the Introductory Document, and support throughout CNE’s engagement with the SGX-ST and relevant regulatory authorities. We worked closely with PRC, Hong Kong and other international counsel to coordinate the cross-border legal and regulatory workstreams, which involved extensive regulatory engagement and alignment across Singapore, PRC and Hong Kong.
