WongPartnership deploys Thomson Reuters Contract Express to bring in automation capabilities, as part of the firm's legal technology vision

09 Oct 2017

Singapore, 9 October 2017 – WongPartnership LLP is the first major Singapore headquartered law firm to adopt Contract Express, the advanced document automation technology from Thomson Reuters. The leading Singapore law firm will use Contract Express as part of its wider technology initiative designed to enhance productivity and further innovate its legal service offerings in the region.

Thomson Reuters Contract Express offers law firms and lawyers an easy-to-deploy, simple-to-scale and intuitive solution that allows them to quickly embrace modern digital document drafting. It allows lawyers to automate templates inside Microsoft Word by using a simple mark-up function, streamlining the process of document creation so that they can engage more efficiently with clients. Lawyers in the firm can now access the document assembly solution through their in-house platform called WPGenerate.

In addition, WongPartnership has launched D-A-S-H: Document Automation Services Help on the firm's website to make the Thomson Reuters Contract Express automation service accessible to its clients. Through this portal, clients who have subscribed to the service will be able to generate certain standardised documents.

"It is a particularly exciting year for WongPartnership as we celebrate our 25th anniversary and embark on new interesting ventures and initiatives. As a leading law firm advising clients on cutting-edge transactions and complex litigation, we understand the need to stay agile in a constantly evolving business environment. Lawyers are not immune from the digital disruption that affects our clients. Technology is changing the way law is practiced and, as such, technological innovation must be a cornerstone of our firm's growth," said Ng Wai King, Managing Partner at WongPartnership. "Working with Thomson Reuters will drive greater productivity at the firm across a range of technology solutions in our bid to continue delivering high quality and innovative services to our clients."

"Contract Express is used by some of the world's most forward-looking law firms who see it as a means to achieve greater internal efficiencies and savings, while at the same time differentiating them in the market and delivering their legal services in increasingly innovative ways," said Tony Kinnear, Managing Director, ASEAN and North Asia, Thomson Reuters.
