The Women’s Livelihood Bond™ Series (WLB), a transaction in which our Tax Partners, Tan Shao Tong and Goh Ziluo played a key role, has been awarded "ESG Deal of the Year" at the Asia Legal Awards 2025.

Developed by Impact Investment Exchange, the WLB Series comprises gender-lens blended financial products aimed at empowering women and girls across sectors and countries. To date, the Series has mobilised US$228 million, supporting 2.6 million women and girls in emerging markets while delivering consistent investment returns.

The Series has also received several other international accolades, including Sustainability Bond of the Year (Corporate) at the Environmental Finance's Sustainable Debt Awards 2024 and the 2019 UN Global Climate Action Award. The US$100 million WLB6 issued in December 2023, is currently the largest Orange Bond to date.

The Asia Legal Awards honours the most significant transactions, cases, and legal work that have shaped the industry across Asia.
