CHAN Sing Yee is the Joint Head of the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice and a Partner in the Private Equity Practice. Her main areas of practice are mergers and acquisitions (including the sale and purchase of businesses), joint ventures, venture capital, corporate finance related transactions, and general corporate and advisory work.

Sing Yee graduated from the National University of Singapore. She is admitted to the Singapore Bar and to the Roll of Solicitors of England & Wales.

Significant transactions that Sing Yee has been involved in include advising / acting for the following:

  • YHT Venture Pte. Ltd. in the voluntary unconditional general offer to acquire all the issued and paid-up ordinary shares in the capital of Hi-P International Limited.
  • Frasers Property Limited in: (a) Disposal of 252,158 shares representing approximately 63.11% of the entire issued and paid-up share capital of AsiaRetail Fund Limited (formerly known as PGIM Real Estate AsiaRetail Fund Limited); and (b) Acquisition of 131,443,060 shares representing 100% of the entire issued and paid-up share capital of Mallco Pte. Ltd.
  • CapitaLand Limited ("CapitaLand") in its acquisition of the Ascendas-Singbridge group of companies from Ascendas-Singbridge Pte. Ltd. The deal is valued at S$11 billion and makes CapitaLand the largest diversified real estate group in Asia, with assets under management of S$123.4 billion.
  • SGX in its acquisition of the remaining 80% stake in BidFX.
  • A consortium led by Yanlord Land Group Limited and Perennial Real Estate Holdings Limited in the acquisition of an approximately 33.4% stake in United Engineers Limited and a 29.9% stake in WBL Corporation Limited, resulting in the consortium having to make mandatory general offers for the remaining stock units and preference shares of United Engineers Limited.
  • CapitaLand Singapore Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CapitaLand Limited in the joint venture with CapitaLand Commercial Trust and Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. to acquire and redevelop Golden Shoe Car Park into a 51-storey mixed-use development in Raffles Place, Singapore at an estimated cost of S$1.82 billion.
