CHAN Sing Yee is a Partner in both the Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Practices. Her main areas of practice are mergers and acquisitions (including the sale and purchase of businesses), joint ventures, venture capital, corporate finance related transactions, and general corporate and advisory work.

Sing Yee graduated from the National University of Singapore. She is admitted to the Singapore Bar and to the Roll of Solicitors of England & Wales.

Significant transactions that Sing Yee has been involved in include advising / acting for the following:

  • CapitaLand Limited ("CapitaLand") in its acquisition of the Ascendas-Singbridge group of companies from Ascendas-Singbridge Pte. Ltd. The deal is valued at S$11 billion and makes CapitaLand the largest diversified real estate group in Asia, with assets under management of S$123.4 billion.
  • A consortium led by Yanlord Land Group Limited and Perennial Real Estate Holdings Limited in the acquisition of an approximately 33.4% stake in United Engineers Limited and a 29.9% stake in WBL Corporation Limited, resulting in the consortium having to make mandatory general offers for the remaining stock units and preference shares of United Engineers Limited.
  • CapitaLand Singapore Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CapitaLand Limited in the joint venture with CapitaLand Commercial Trust and Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. to acquire and redevelop Golden Shoe Car Park into a 51-storey mixed-use development in Raffles Place, Singapore at an estimated cost of S$1.82 billion.
  • Manulife Financial Corporation in the purchase of the entire equity stake in DBS China Square Limited which holds the property known as "PwC Building" based on an agreed property value of S$747 million from DBS Bank Ltd.
  • CMA CGM S.A. (the "Offeror") and the financial advisers to the Offeror, namely BNP Paribas, Singapore Branch, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC Bank), Singapore Branch, and J.P. Morgan (S.E.A.) Limited, in relation to the pre-conditional voluntary general offer by the Offeror for all the issued and paid up ordinary shares in the capital of Neptune Orient Lines Limited, other than those already owned, controlled or agreed to be acquired by the Offeror, for approximately S$3.4 billion. This deal was awarded "M&A Deal of the Year (Premium)" at the ALB SE Asia Law Awards, 2017.
  • JTC Corporation in relation to the merger with Temasek Holdings Limited of four of their operating subsidiaries, namely, Ascendas Pte. Ltd., Jurong International Holdings Pte. Ltd., Surbana International Consultants Holdings Pte. Ltd., and Singbridge Group into a combined integrated platform for sustainable urban development.
