Yuan Bo is a Partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice.

His main practice areas are mergers and acquisitions, which includes public and private transactions, and general corporate and commercial transactions.

Yuan Bo graduated from the National University of Singapore (LL.B., Hons (First Class Honours)) where he was awarded with several prizes including the Law Society of Singapore Book Prize, Oxford University Press Law Prize, and subject prizes for legal analysis, writing and research, and torts.

Significant transactions that Yuan Bo has been involved in include advising / acting for the following:

  • Keppel REIT Management Limited, the manager of Keppel REIT, in Keppel REIT's acquisition of Keppel Bay Tower (the "Property") through the acquisition of all the shares of the holding company of the Property, Keppel Bay Tower Pte. Ltd., for a consideration of approximately S$600 million.
  • J.P. Morgan (S.E.A.) Limited, the sole financial adviser to the offeror, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Corporation Limited, in its acquisition and privatisation of Singapore Press Holdings Limited (excluding the newspaper publisher's media business) (the "Target") via a scheme of arrangement, which valued the Target at approximately S$3.4 billion.
  • Tower Capital Asia in forming a consortium with Temasek-linked 65 Equity Partners for the purposes of undertaking a pre-conditional voluntary conditional general offer for corporate-services provider, Boardroom. The offer valued Boardroom at approximately S$312 million.
  • The entity acquiring five (5) industrial properties from ESR-LOGOS REIT and its sub-trusts for an approximate consideration of S$313.5 million, in that acquisition and in the set-up and funding of that entity.
  • Olam Group Limited in the demerger and separate listing of its value-added food products and ingredients business, and of its food, feed and fibre business.
  • Artemis Health Ventures (a vehicle of the Sylvan Group, a private equity firm backed by members of the Hyundai and Rockefeller families) in its acquisition of various private clinics and diagnostic companies in Singapore.
