HO Wei Jie is a Partner in the Commercial & Corporate Disputes Practice.

Her main areas of practice involve litigation and international arbitration across a wide range of matters including shareholders, investment, contractual disputes, as well as contentious investigations. She also advises companies on employment related issues such as termination, retrenchment, disciplinary proceedings, and enforcement of restraint of trade / confidentiality issues.

Wei Jie graduated from the Singapore Management University. She was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2012.

Matters of significance in which Wei Jie has been involved in include the following:

  • Acting for the minority shareholders of a major family-owned dairy and beverage group in Singapore and Malaysia with an annual sales revenue of nearly S$500 million, in an action in the High Court and the Court of Appeal for relief against the other shareholders.
  • Acting for a multi-family office and two other individuals in High Court and Court of Appeal proceedings concerning investments in private equity funds and hotel development valued at over US$127 million.
  • Acting for a leading Agriculture Commodities company in an SIAC arbitration relating to the sale and purchase of palm oil plantations in Indonesia, with the total claim quantified to be in excess of US$50 million.
  • Acting for two companies in proceedings in the High Court, successfully obtaining judgment on a US$173 million SIAC arbitral award, resisting an application to have the award set aside, and obtaining a world-wide injunction in respect of property up to the value of the award.
  • Acting for a leading global information and communication technology solutions provider in court proceedings concerning a multimillion dollar WiMAX broadband project.
  • Acting for a U.S. based aviation company seeking to downsize its business activities in Singapore in a redundancy exercise.
