Hsiao-Huey TEO is a Partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Prior to joining WongPartnership, she worked in a Magic Circle firm and a Wall Street law firm in Hong Kong S.A.R.
Her main areas of practice are mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity.

Hsiao-Huey graduated with First Class Honours from St John's College, University of Oxford where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Jurisprudence. She also obtained a Master of Laws (First Class) from Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge where she was awarded the Ian Malcolm Lewis Prize for Law. She is qualified to practise law in Singapore, England and Wales and New York.
Significant transactions that Hsiao-Huey has been involved in include advising / acting for the following:
- A global consumer technology company listed on the Frankfurt Exchange in its US$4 billion joint venture with a Korean tech unicorn in the food delivery space. This was the largest transaction in the world in this sector as of 2019.
- One of the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world on several deals in new-economy sectors, including its investments in a renewable energy solutions provider, a builder of artificial intelligence solutions for enterprises, a debt-financing platform for sustainable infrastructure projects and a manufacturer of plant-based milk.
- A global manager of real estate and infrastructure assets listed on the Singapore stock exchange on several real estate transactions in Vietnam and Myanmar.
- The world’s largest consumer-focused private equity firm on several transactions involving food and beverage and hospitality businesses.
- One of the largest privately-owned conglomerates in the Netherlands on several acquisitions of various companies in the engineering services space.
