Jerry TAN is a Partner in the Corporate Real Estate Practice.
His main practice areas are commercial and residential purchases and sales, property finance, property development, property advisory work, commercial and residential leases and other landlord and tenant matters and property-related corporate transactions.
Jerry has been recognised as a Rising Star for Real Estate in asialaw – The definitive guide to Asia's Leading Law Firms and Lawyers and is also recognised in Real Estate Law by Best Lawyers.
Jerry graduated from the National University of Singapore where he was an Overall Dean's Lister. He won the F.A. Chua Prize for the Best Student in Criminal Procedure in his Postgraduate Practical Law Course. Jerry is admitted to the Singapore Bar.
Significant transactions that Jerry has been involved in include advising / acting for the following:
- ESR Funds Management (S) Limited, as manager of ESR-REIT, in relation to the S$ 1.4 billion proposed merger with ARA LOGOS Logistics Trust by way of a trust scheme of arrangement.
- Frasers Centrepoint Asset Management Ltd. (the manager of Frasers Centrepoint Trust) and Frasers Property Limited in the joint acquisition of a 50 per cent stake in Gold Ridge Pte. Ltd., which holds the suburban retail mall NEX, from Mercatus Tres Pte. Ltd. (a subsidiary of Mercatus Co-operative Limited) for S$ 652.5 million.
- A syndicate of lenders in the refinancing of the S$2.1 billion facilities granted to Senoko Energy Pte. Ltd., a power generation company owned by a consortium comprising Marubeni Corporation, ENGIE, The Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc., Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc. and Japan Bank for International. Cooperation.
- The landlord, 8 Cross Street Padref Investments Ltd in its leases at Manulife Tower, a prime commercial building located in the heart of the Central Business District of Singapore.
- Keppel DCS3 Services Pte. Ltd. in the master lease agreement and facility management agreement entered into with Memphis 1 Pte Ltd in respect of two hyperscale data centres in Singapore, namely Keppel DC Singapore 7 and Keppel DC Singapore 8.
- Hong Leong Properties Pte Limited and the purchasers in the sale and purchase of interests in, and joint redevelopment of, 80 Anson Road Fuji Xerox Towers, Singapore.
