Kelvin SEET is a Senior Partner in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group of Cheang & Ariff, a member of WPG.

His main practice areas are corporate and commercial litigation, restructuring and insolvency, professional negligence relating to auditors and capital markets & securities law. He has acted in a wide range of disputes including shareholder and director actions, derivative suits, oppression claims, joint venture and corporate fraud cases, as well as insolvency and restructuring proceedings. Beyond corporate disputes, he is regularly instructed in real estate, construction and contractual matters and has represented clients in regulatory enforcement actions brought by the Securities Commission and Bursa Malaysia.

With more than two decades of practice, Kelvin has appeared before every level of the Malaysian courts in complex and high-value litigation. He successfully defended one of the Big Four accounting firms in a negligence suit brought by investors and represented Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad in enforcement proceedings against a listed company for breaches of the Main Market Listing Requirements. He has also acted in significant insolvency-related litigation clarifying the scope of essential supplies under the Companies Act 2016. His body of reported and unreported judgments spans corporate, commercial, capital markets and insolvency law. He is a contributing author of The Annotated Malaysian Companies Act 2016 (Sweet & Maxwell Asia, Thomson Reuters Malaysia).
