LONG Chee Shan is a Partner in the Equity Capital Markets Practice.

He has advised corporates and financial institutions on a broad range of cross-border capital markets transactions including initial public offerings and secondary offerings.

Chee Shan has more than 20 years of experience in fund-raising work and has been involved in a number of landmark initial public offerings and real estate investment trust ("REIT") deals.

Chee Shan graduated from the National University of Singapore. He is admitted to the Singapore Bar.

Significant transactions that Chee Shan has advised on include the following:

  • The underwriters of Digital Core REIT, the first pure-play data centre REIT listed on the Singapore Exchange.
  • The underwriters of Elite Commercial REIT, the first initial public offering and listing of a REIT on the Singapore Exchange to be focused on the United Kingdom and denominated in pound sterling.
  • CapitaMalls Asia Limited in its initial public offering. This is one of the largest initial public offerings in Singapore and was awarded "Best Singapore Deal" by FinanceAsia Awards for Achievement 2009.
  • Tune Ins Holdings Berhad in its initial public offering and listing on Bursa Malaysia.
  • Avago Technologies Limited in its initial public offering. This was the second largest initial public offering in the United States in 2009 at the time of the announcement.
  • Mapletree Greater China Commercial Trust in its initial public offering. This is the largest initial public offering for a REIT in Singapore's history.
