Her main areas of practice involve mergers and acquisitions, covering both public and private transactions and general corporate and commercial transactions.
Significant transactions that Rachel has been involved in include advising / acting for the following:
- CapitaLand Limited in connection with its acquisition of the Ascendas-Singbridge group of companies from CLA Real Estate Holdings Pte. Ltd. (formerly known as Ascendas-Singbridge Pte. Ltd.) for S$11 billion.
- KKR in its investment of up to S$500 million in V3, a leading specialty retailer of luxury lifestyle and wellness products in Asia which owns leading luxury brands, OSIM, TWG Tea and Bacha Coffee.
- Temasek in several of its venture capital investments such as in e-commerce start-ups Sociolla and ShopBack, as well as a joint venture relating to vertical farming.
- Sembcorp Industries in the acquisition of Veolia ES Singapore and the public cleaning business of Veolia ES Singapore Industrial from Veolia Environmental Services Asia.
- CapitaLand Ascott Trust (formerly known as Ascott Residence Trust) in its acquisition of S$318.3 million of properties in Australia, France, Japan, USA and Vietnam.
- The offeror, a consortium formed by a vehicle led by Dymon Asia Private Equity and directors and specialist medical practitioners of Singapore O&G Ltd., in its voluntary unconditional cash offer for the shares of Catalist-listed healthcare provider, Singapore O&G Ltd..
