Our Head of Banking & Finance, Christy Lim, together with Partners Susan Wong, Bernadette Tan and Clarence Kang, recently co-authored the Singapore chapter of Trends & Developments for the Chambers Global Practice Guide: Banking & Finance 2025.
The chapter analyses the latest market trends shaping Singapore’s banking and finance landscape. The authors explore the rapid rise of private credit across Asia, the evolution of fund-financing structures such as subscription and NAV facilities, and the expanding role of ESG and blended finance in supporting the region’s transition towards a low-carbon economy. They also highlight how technological advancements and data centre investments are driving innovative financing models, and how Islamic finance continues to gain traction as an integral part of Singapore’s broader financial ecosystem.
