WongPartnership welcomes Assistant Professor Edward Ti as Consultant

Singapore, 7 September 2022 – WongPartnership LLP welcomes Edward Ti as a new consultant and a principal member of the Firm's Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group. With expertise spanning several fields of law, Edward is a multi-qualified professional in laws relating to Real Estate and Securitisation. He is also a full-time Assistant Professor of Law at the Yong Pung How School of Law at the Singapore Management University, focusing on property, planning and real estate law, including classical land law, planning law, heritage conversation, strata law and real estate investment trusts (REITs).

Significant matters that Edward has been involved in include a S$35 million land acquisition dispute before the Court of Appeal in 2019 and was consultant to Sasseur Cayman Holding II in the listing of Sasseur REIT (SGX:CRPU) back in 2016. He was also the lead counsel (as a Deputy Public Prosecutor) in PP v Charan Singh [2013] SGHC 115.

 

Apart from Singapore, Edward is also qualified and admitted to practice law in New York, and England & Wales. He is concurrently a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA) designations. He also serves on the Strata Titles Board as a panel member and sits on the board of an accredited issue manager for mainboard SGX-ST listings.

 

Edward graduated from the National University of Singapore and holds a PhD in Land Economy from the University of Cambridge. He was also a Lee Kong Chian Fellow in 2021/2022 and was awarded the Singapore Management University’s School of Law Promising Scholar Award in 2019/2020.
